Grief is a natural feeling that comes from loss. Cornell University Psychology Department conducted a study on the 5 stages of Grief in the late 1990's. This study showed that the stages of grief were always the same no matter what the loss was. The only thing that changed was the degree of each stage depending on the degree of loss for each individual. To Dr Kirkpatrick and to the members of our group, thank you for allowing me to go through these stages in my own way and in my own time. If you are dealing with the loss of a loved one, a pet or even a job, seek help. Find a qualified counselor or a group and talk about it. You don't have to go through it alone.
